Pathways through nature and culture

the land

From Campiglia
to Oropa

From Campiglia to Oropa the landscape initially develops along the Cervo torrent to which the entire valley owes its name, then rises along paths and trails leading to the slope that hosts the Sanctuary of Oropa. Immersed in a natural landscape that allows for long walks, hikes and mountain bike tours: many paths, from the easiest to the most challenging, sweep through the main villages of the area. Not only does the the itinerary offer trails and paths, but reveals an interesting cultural offer that relies on ecomuseums and small but interesting cell museums. Starting with the one dedicated to Pietro Micca in Sagliano, the museum of Società Operaia di Mutuo Soccorso (Workers Mutual Aid Society) in Campiglia, and the renowned Casa Museo (House Museum) in the upper Cervo valley. Beyond Monte Cucco, the Oropa valley is recognisable by its Marian sanctuary. A unique place that combines religious and cultural aspects with plenty of outdoor experiences.
